Dear John by Nicholas Sparks

John Tyree comes home on leave from the army and ends up meeting Savannah Lynn Curtis. It changes his life and he works on becoming a better man. But life and war seem to get in their way. But can he chose whether to serve his country or settle down with the woman he loves?

This was another sad and depressing book by Nicholas Sparks. I didn’t want to believe it and had to read it for myself. It was well written but I wonder if this guy can write any happy stories.

I felt for John and Savannah. They had some really tough decisions to make and then had to stick to them. I couldn’t believe what ended up happening but maybe it was for the best.

I give this book a 3/5. I liked it enough to keep reading but once I knew the outcome it just dragged along. I was unhappy with the ending but maybe it showed how life can really be and to not take granted the things you have in your life. I don’t recommend it but maybe someone else will like it.

Probably won't read anymore tonight. I am wiped out today.

I was disappointed with the Nicholas Sparks book I read. Don't even remember the title. I don't think I'll bother with this one. Thanks for the review, LOB.

I loved A Walk to Remember and his last one which has slipped my mind but this was just too depressing.
